Middleton Benefits From Keelan Westall's New Prestige Broker Club
(26th July 2010) Following the recent re-launch of Keelan Westall’s exclusive Prestige Broker Club, Sussex-based commercial insurance broker, Middleton Insurance Services Ltd, is already benefiting from the company’s in-house training programme.
As a member of the new Prestige Broker Programme, Middleton, which has a 10-year relationship with Keelan Westall, has access to a number of new and improved services aimed at helping them to develop their business. These include enhanced commission levels for add-on products, dedicated account handlers, pre-agreed deadlines for quotes and a wider range of business support functions such as marketing, IT and finance.
Allen Porter from Middleton Insurance Services says: “We have been using Keelan Westall for property owners’ insurance for around a decade and feel that they offer extremely good quality products that have been specifically tailored for our market. I would definitely recommend them to other brokers.
He continues: “Having signed up to the Prestige Broker Club just one month ago, we are already benefiting from the in-house training programme offered by Keelan Westall.
“We sold off a book of business and wanted staff to be more focused on servicing our commercial clients including property owners. The training, which is ongoing, has proved
to be extremely beneficial and we have seen a marked improvement in product knowledge, confidence and the ability of our staff.
Allen concludes: “Keelan Westall is able to provide a solution for most issues with pricing and service we can rely upon.
“The company’s in-house claims department is also extremely efficient. This is in part due to it having the authority to settle claims via certain insurers. As a result, we can often avoid the poor claims service that can be associated with some insurers.”
Lisa Feaver, Head of Broker Services at Keelan Westall, says: “Our ability to authorise claims up to a certain value for some insurers has helped us to significantly reduce settlement times. This is obviously a real bonus to our brokers and their clients, and helps create stronger relationships.”
To qualify for membership of the re-launched Prestige Broker Club, brokers must have generated a minimum of £150,000 Gross Written Premium within three years. Other criteria relate to financial stability and profitability. Brokers that were members of the previous Prestige programme have been transferred to the new Club automatically, and Keelan Westall will work with non-members to help them to achieve membership.
